Lenovo has quickly rushed through the Lemon 3 smartphone launch and we already have Xiaomi Redmi 3 retailing in China. Both mobiles aren’t available outside China but locally in China itself they will be competing for the title of “Best affordable phone”.
Both phone coming out at $107, are set to fight for the battle. As we compare technically, both Xiaomi Redmi 3 and Lenovo’s Lemon 3 are powered with 5 inch display but Lenovo’s display here provides full HD resolution. Both devices are powered with Octa core SoC with Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 chipset coupled with 2 Gigs of RAM, 16 Gb internal storage. Both handsets gets 4G, micro SD card slot, dual SIM connectivity and same price tag.
Although they run on Android 5.1 Lollipop in the background, each company has gone through custom overlay with Xiaomi opting for MIUI 7 while Lenovo goes for Vibe UI. There is 13 mega pixel rear camera and 5 mega pixel front camera on both of them.
The big difference comes in terms of battery life. Redmi 3 gets 4100 mAh Li-ion battery while Lemon 3 has only 2750 mAh battery capacity. Now that might prove out to be major difference between the two.
