Philips has been very active when it comes to launching smartphones in last few months. In the month of October, there were exclusive reports about Philips V787 and Philips S616 that has SoftBlue Technology, through which the emission of blue light is reduced by 86 percent.While both the phones are targeted to users, the launch of Philips Xenium V377 has been set in Russia, at the end of this month.
It has a huge 5,000mAh battery and 29 hours of talktime are given. This would last up to a month. As per the company, 3,150 audio songs can be played on a single charge. On the left hand side of the device, there is a physical button that helps to switch to the power saving mode. With this, the battery life is extended further.
Apart from battery, other specifications of the phone aren’t very impressive. The display is a 5 inch IPS one and has HD resolution. A MediaTek MT6580 quad-core processor along with 1 GB of RAM powers the phone. The internal storage capacity of the phone is 8 GB and can be increased with the help of microSD card. The platform on which the device runs is Android 5.1 Lollipop and has the Philips UI on top.
The phone sports an 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and autofocus. The phone has a front camera of 2 megapixel for video calls and selfies. The device is supportive of Dual SIM standby but it doesn’t support 4G LTE connectivity. Available options of connectivity are MicroUSB 2.0, A-GPS, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, 3G and much more. The device is also supportive of Miracast to view images and videos captured on TV directly. The availability of this would be seen in Russia by month end.
