On Thursday, Intex, a popular smartphone manufacturer introduced a ‘premium’ and ‘flagship’ smartphone, Aqua GenX to its lineup. The price of this handset is Rs.13,299 and its sale would start on Thursday with online retailers.
Talking about the specifications, the platform on which the Intex Aqua GenX runs is Android 5.1 Lollipop and nothing has been mentioned yet as to when would it receive Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade. Featuring a 5.5 inch full-HD IPS display, it has a DragonTrail glass coating.
Being powered by MediaTek MT6753 octa-core SoC processor and 2 GB of RAM, it has an inbuilt storage capacity of 16 GB, which is expandable up to 128 GB with the help of a microSD card.
Talking about the photography, the phone sports a 13 megapixel rear camera as well as a 5 megapixel front camera with Glove mode, for enhancing the experience of the users. A 2800mAh battery backs this dual-SIM capable smartphone. Options of connectivity include Wi-Fi, 3G and 4G LTE. If users want to use the 2nd SIM, the micro-SD card has to be taken out.
Talking about the software, there is Matrabhasha on offer, a service that offers communication in 21 different regional languages that includes Hindi too. Recently, the Intex Cloud Flash mid-range smartphone was launched by Intex, along with Intex Aqua-Air and Intex Cloud Zest handsets.
